- The first obvious difference is that 3D environment are mainily about the imaginary world which may lead people to become over ambitious (in a negative sense) wheareas IM programs are mostly about the real world.
- In most cases communication is with people know and can relate to whereas in 3D environment people are mostly total strangers who could even be having fake personalites
- With IM you rae able to tell which one of your friends is on line which you cannot do in 3D environmment...
I know they all just the obvious ones but....mmmmm ,.....i couldn't think of anything better ....
